Specification of Omron type H7CX-A-N counter
Instruction CNT serves as a timer or counter backwards. What counts? What counts is a change of input conditions CP (pulse count) from OFF to ON. When the execution condition is ON, then every time there is a change of input conditions CP from ON to OFF, then the instruction CNT will reduce its PV value (present value) with one. Please note, if instructions are in the interlock section CNT, its PV value is not reset when the execution interlock conditions are not met. Counter is not reset even though the PLC is switched off.
